Terms & conditions

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses thegreentechpreneur.com (“the site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Who we are

The site is run by The Green Techpreneur Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15112847), registered office: Flat 6, 14a St Margaret’s Street, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, BA15 1DA, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at marianne@thegreentechpreneur.com.

Using the site

The Green Techpreneur is an online magazine for climate founders, investors and the people who support them. It is written for adults. You may use the site for your own information and professional purposes. Please don’t:

  • use the site in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or anything connected to it;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful code;
  • scrape or harvest content or contact details from the site, for example to send unsolicited messages.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, and we may restrict access to anyone who breaks these terms.

Our content

The articles, design, logos and other content on the site belong to The Green Techpreneur or the people who licensed them to us, such as the founders and photographers we feature. You are welcome to share links to our articles and quote short extracts with a credit and a link back. Please don’t republish whole articles, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.

Telling your story

If you send us an interview, photos or other material:

  • you confirm that what you tell us is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you own the photos and material you send, or have permission to share them;
  • you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to edit, publish and promote your feature, including on the site, in our newsletter and on social media. You keep ownership of your material;
  • we will edit your answers into a feature and share the draft with you for approval before it is published;
  • we decide what we publish and when, and we can’t guarantee that every submission will be featured;
  • after publication you can ask us to correct a feature, and we will make factual corrections promptly.

Sponsored and partner content

Some content is produced with or paid for by partners. We label it clearly, for example as a Partner Story or as sponsored. Paid advertising, sponsorship and partnership work is covered by a separate written agreement, which takes priority over these terms where they differ.

Investment information

Nothing on the site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or an offer of or invitation to buy any investment. Please read our Disclaimer before acting on anything you read here.

Other websites

Our articles link to other websites, including Climate Marketplace. These links are for your information. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or services. Your use of them is covered by their own terms.

Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions about the site, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and we can’t promise it will always be complete, up to date, uninterrupted or free from errors.

If you use the site for business purposes, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity or data, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Please check them when you use the site.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.

If part of these terms doesn’t apply

If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest will still apply. If we don’t enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
